Welcome to Robert Ocean Music. By accessing or using robertocean.com, including any content, services, or products offered through the site, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Use.

 

These Terms apply to all services and brands operating under Robert Ocean Music, including but not limited to:

  • KRZ Publishing

  • Artist services and submissions

  • Educational content and downloads

  • Music-related tools, products, and consulting

 

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use this website or our services.

General Use of Services

​

All services provided by Robert Ocean Music are offered in good faith and are intended for professional music, publishing, and educational purposes. By purchasing or using our services, you confirm that:

  • You have the legal right to submit the materials provided

  • You understand the nature of the services purchased

  • You agree to the specific terms outlined below for each service type

 

Unless otherwise stated, all sales are final once a service has been performed or initiated.

Radio Tracking Services

​

All purchases related to radio tracking services are final.

Once audio files and metadata are submitted to third-party radio tracking databases (including but not limited to BDS, Mediabase, and similar services), submissions:

  • Are permanent and cannot be reversed

  • Cannot be removed or altered once accepted by the tracking provider

  • Are stored in those databases for ongoing airplay tracking

 

Confirmation of submission will be sent to the customer once files have been successfully uploaded.

Robert Ocean Music and KRZ Publishing are not responsible for how third-party radio tracking companies use, display, or report tracked data.

ISRC & UPC Codes

​

All purchases of ISRC and UPC codes are final.

Once an ISRC or UPC code has been:

  • Created

  • Assigned

  • Registered

  • Embedded into metadata

…it cannot be undone or unregistered.

 

Each ISRC is permanently tied to a specific recording. If a song is materially altered (such as a significant edit, remaster, or version change of approximately 10 seconds or more), a new ISRC is required, which must be purchased separately.

Upon purchase, customers will receive documentation listing all assigned ISRCs and UPCs, including barcode files when applicable.

Stripping & Metadata Embedding Services

​

As part of the ISRC and metadata process, submitted audio files may be:

  • Stripped of hidden or junk metadata

  • Cleaned to meet industry and database standards

  • Embedded with accurate ISRC and metadata information

 

This process does not alter the audio content of the file itself and does not affect sound quality or musical integrity.

Stripping and embedding are required to meet professional radio tracking, licensing, and distribution standards.

File Verification

​

File verification is included as part of select metadata services and provides a snapshot of embedded data for confirmation and accuracy.

This service is a one-time process, and all related sales are final once verification has been completed.

Publishing Agreements & Deals

 

KRZ Publishing offers various publishing-related agreements. Each agreement:

  • Is unique to the artist and project

  • Has its own specific terms and conditions

  • Exists independently from these general Terms of Use

 

Once an agreement is executed, both parties are bound to the terms of that agreement.

Artists may also collaborate with a KRZ Publishing representative to create customized publishing agreements. These agreements are governed solely by their individual terms.

Artist Development Services

 

Artist development services are customized based on the artist’s needs, career stage, and goals.

If a development agreement is created:

  • The terms of that agreement take precedence

  • Both parties are responsible for compliance

 

If services require involvement with third-party companies, Robert Ocean Music or KRZ Publishing may act as an agent or representative for the artist, but all parties must adhere to the third party’s terms and conditions.

Refund Policy

 

A full refund will be issued only if we are unable to perform the purchased service within five (5) business days of purchase.

Business hours are:

  • Monday to Friday

  • 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pacific Time

 

Once a service has been performed, initiated, or submitted to third parties, refunds are no longer available.

Limitation of Liability

Robert Ocean Music and KRZ Publishing are not responsible for:

  • Decisions made by third-party companies

  • Outcomes related to radio airplay, licensing, placement, or performance

  • Technical limitations or changes imposed by external platforms

 

We provide services with professional care but do not guarantee specific results.

Changes to These Terms

​

We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms of Use at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting on the website.

​

Continued use of the website or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

​

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the use of this website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in British Columbia, Canada.
